Accessibility Standards from EZ Dock Montana
EZ Dock Montana is committed to making a great dock experience easy for everyone
EZ Dock Montana configures products like SOBA and ADA compliant railings, safety curbing, and accessible ramps to meet U.S. Access Board’s regulatory guidelines, thus ensuring universal accessibility.
To begin with, in 1993, the Access Board established an advisory committee to recommend accessibility guidelines for recreation facilities. Consequently, EZ Dock consistently follows these guidelines for accessible boating facilities and fishing piers. Furthermore, in 2010, the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) recognized EZ Dock for our accessibility innovation with the EZ Launch® Accessible Transfer System.
Additionally, for projects outside the U.S., EZ Dock helps design dock systems that meet local governmental or regulatory guidelines and accessibility standards. As a global organization, EZ Dock has a worldwide distribution network of multilingual professionals who are always ready to help you create an inclusive marine facility.
The EZ Launch® System for universal accessibility
The EZ Launch® Accessible Transfer System for kayaks and canoes, a first in the industry, provides individuals with disabilities accessibility that surpasses the minimum requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). To begin with, this system allows users to easily sit, slide over, and drop down into a kayak or canoe using the transfer bench and transfer slide boards. Next, they can use the side rails to pull off or back on. Moreover, the transfer bench is built with two heights, facilitating easy transfer from wheelchairs of varying sizes. Additionally, the transfer slide boards accommodate different watercraft heights, ensuring a smooth transition for all users. As a result, the EZ Launch® system offers unparalleled accessibility and ease of use.
